Choose the right Carpet Cleaning method January 24th, 2012

When it comes to Carpet Cleaning there are so many methods to choose from even though there is only one (1) method approved by almost all carpet manufacturers. Carpet manufacturers do warranty their product and so have certain requirements to keep that warranty in force.

When choosing a Carpet Cleaning Company In San Diego you must look for a company that performs the Hot Water Extraction method. This method is used to utilize high heat, high pressure water and high pressure vacuum to recover the water used. This is best served by a company that uses Truck mounted units. Many times Portable machines are used but do not have adequate pressure or heat but they are not to be discounted because they are the tool of choice for High Rise buildings where the truck mounted unit can no go.

Hot Water Extraction is simular to the way you would wash anything else that you want clean – flush & rinse, just like your laundry. Cleaning with the high temperatures assist in getting the best to closest sanitizing effect to kill those living things in the carpet and much of the bacteria.

Dry Cleaning methods vary in many methods from Dry Foam Shampoo, Powders and even Floor Buffers that buff the carpet. They have Zero Flush & Rinse Capabilities, do not create heat effectual enough to do any good and they have almost zero extraction capabilities. This method is commonly used for many commercial thin glue down carpets that are made of plastic. The dirt & residues that they leave behind do not constitute the definition of clean in any respect except to provide a cleaner appearance. Unfortunately e, this method is used by low budget Carpet Cleaners to avoid expensive equipment costs & the intensive labor involved from Hot Water Extraction. The bad thing is that the unaware consumer gets passed along their savings by giving you something you had hoped was the definition of “Clean”. Imagine your carpet that has not been cleaned for 12 months that is full of foot oils, soils that have stuck to the sticky oily residue, maybe a little vomit over there, some various spills here and some pet urine over there. Now here comes a Dry Carpet Cleaner with a Floor Buffer that is designed to shine floors. He sprays his magic potion on the carpet (preconditioner), puts a nylon or cotton pad under the buffer and starts to buff the carpet. Where is that dirt going and where is that chemical that was sprayed onto the carpet going? What about the bacteria & dust mites? My point is that rearranging the dirt is not a true definition of cleaning. These methods use aggressive brushes that frizz carpet fibers, snag & pull yarns and Floor Buffers Bloom the tips of carpet fibers. This is damage and your warranty is void with these methods.

Our method is to provide a gentle high flow flush & rinse process of 210-240 degree soft water to remove all the soils and bacteria along with the residues of our non-toxic organic preconditioner. This truck mounted process is gentle and extremely thorough and leaves your carpets residue free which means they don’t resoil quickly as with Dry Carpet Cleaning methods that leave nothing but chemical residues.

The major claim of Dry Carpet Cleaning methods is to leave you dry. This is because there are sloppy quick “Splash & Dash” carpet cleaners out there that use the Hot Water Extraction method. Those exceptional deals such as “5 rooms for $99″ must be completed in 30-40 minutes to make a profit. Our cleaning technique is not like that since we as many have optimized cleaning units & tools for the 21st century and we employ our signature Rapid Speed Dry Process to leave your carpets Dry to the touch when we are done. Our dry times beat any Dry Cleaning process.

For your next Carpet Cleaning why not do the research on the one that you would like to come out and make sure that you are getting True Carpet Cleaning.

Dry Foam Carpet Cleaning or Truckmount Carpet Cleaning in San Diego? April 22nd, 2009

Before I explain to you what Dry Foam is let us first decide what we want to accomplished during a carpet cleaning. We want to remove the soil, make your carpets look absolutely clean and leave you with zero soap or chemical residues.

So, in your home with a nice thick carpet that you like to walk on with bare feet, sit on, lie on or have the kids & pets play on, why would you want DRY FOAM chemical residue or soil left behind? Could it be because you read someone’s FEAR MARKETING that had the same old scare that ” Water is Evil & Dry is Good”? I do provide Dry Foam Extraction Carpet Cleaning but I do my best to educate the customer with the facts. I do get a lot of Dry Foam Shampoo requests. Once I explain the process the customer will elect to have us Steam Clean the carpets. They are often worried of long dry times & wet carpet backings that will cause damage to wood sub-floors. This is not a problem because we don’t get the backing wet & we get the carpets dryer than we could ever get them if we did use the Dry Foam method. Quality Truckmount Carpet Cleaning achieves rapid dry times today when accomplished by a professional.

Every Carpet Cleaning should have Health as the first priority! That means removing the soils and leaving no residues in the carpet. Leaving the residue means new soil is attracted, it also means foreign substances are left behind that you will eventually breathe as it goes airborne.

Our procedure provides you with:

1. Healthy Carpet Cleaning service, Zero Residue left behind, total soil removal.
2. Carpet Cleaning that is gentle on carpet fibers as to not distort or unwind carpet fibers, in other words we don’t a damaged carpet.
3. Carpets that dry fast in just hours & not days. We don’t want several gallons of water left in the carpet after we leave.

What is Dry Foam Carpet cleaning? First let’s define Dry Foam Shampoo – it’s a shampoo of various types from encapsulation shampoo to plain old cheap sticky soap shampoo. The shampoo is mixed up or generated into a foam, since it is whipped up into a foam it was assigned the term Dry Shampoo for some reason!

There are two (2) forms: Dry Foam Extraction & Dry Foam Shampoo (there is zero extraction).

The Dry Foam extraction system that has been used for the last 30 plus years extracts 1/3 of all shampoo solution applied. The rest remains in the carpet along with the dirt. If it is an encapsulating shampoo then it is believed that the remaining dirt is surrounded & encapsulated by the shampoo. When it dries it is claimed that you remove it when you vacuum the carpets 24 hours later.

The Dry Foam Shampoo (non-extraction) method uses a Floor Buffer machine with a Foam Generator that makes Dry Foam & scrubs it into the carpet leaving it behind and with the soil. Sometimes a nylon bonnet is used to absorb some of the soil & chemical shampoo and most of it remains behind.

Since residential carpets are much more plush than low level looped commercial glue down carpets there are just too many places residues can get trapped & so many places soil can hide. For this reason we Flush & Rinse these carpets clean via Truckmount Steam Cleaning. This is Deep Carpet Cleaning.

Dry Foam Carpet Cleaning takes anywhere from 1-6 hours to dry depending on the carpet fiber & whether it is commercial or residential. Truckmount carpet cleaning is about the same when done professionally.

Why is Dry Foam still used? Low start-up cost for the carpet cleaning business, it is not very labor intensive & more money can be made faster. We have it because we have a full tool box, many times we use this system in conjunction with other methods or as Power Scrub step prior to Truckmount Steam Cleaning on a very dirty job.

Our experience is that we leave 3% of the moisture behind. Our High Flow Flush & Rinse system ensures that your carpets are flushed from top to bottom, you can forget any residue being left behind. With this system carpets are left soft & fluffy instead of hard & crunchy.

Let’s focus on the word EXTRACTION, this is what Truckmount systems do! That means the dust mites, their feces, bacteria, fleas, soil & whatever else you have actually gets removed instead of being left behind. Since Dry Foam cleaning does not extract that much so much of all of this is left behind on top of a chemical residue load. Would you really have your babies lay on the carpet a few days after having this type of service?

I have & use all methods & systems, I have no bias except for what I know what works best, unfortunatly Truckmount Steam Cleaning is superiour for ResidentalCarpet Cleaning service. If the easier methods worked well such as Dry Foam then I would much rather use that & save on expensive truckmount steam equipment costs. It would be so nice not to have to run out hundreds of feet of hose and all the other equipment that is required but the fact is the dirt has to get removed and so do the chemical & soap residues. Because of this fact Truckmount Steam Cleaning is the only method that can truly clean your carpets.

Great News for San Diego Carpet Cleaning April 2nd, 2009

In the past to be able to protect your carpets from stains & pre-mature wear (scratch) a carcinogenic & hazardous chemical had to be applied – Teflon – Scotchguard.

Those days are now over because today there is a safer way to protect your carpet investment: GREEN Carpet Protector.

Miracle Services, Inc. Carpet & Floor Care now provides a safer alternative to Teflon & Scotchguard.

Our Miracle Protector is not only Safe for all living inhabitants but also for the planet. It is certified by the Synapse Handbook of Green Chemical Raw Ingredients, 2nd edition.

Cleaning Carpet is less expensive than replacing it. Today is not the time to invest in new carpet replacement costs. We that live in San Diego have to deal with a large amount of sand that damages carpet fibers by scratching them. Truckmount Carpet Steam Cleaning removes the particulate soils – sand & grit that you can not by normal vacuuming. Our powerful high pressure vacuum system will remove the deepest & most stubborn particulate soils.

Once your carpets have been deep cleaned it is time to apply that carpet protector to protect your carpet fibers from possible stains, provide you time to wipe up spills before they absorb into carpet fibers, fill in the scratched fibers, help keep your carpets cleaner longer & ensure periodic carpet cleaning are successful without staining or excessive wear.

Normally we like to reapply the carpet protector at the 3rd cleaning but depending on your location in the county & the carpet fiber type we may recommend that you have it reapplied. It is really best to have it applied to the traffic lanes after every cleaning service.

Zero Residue Carpet Cleaning San Diego October 17th, 2008

Today more & more people are becoming aware of the effects of a chemical laden environment and especially in their homes. Our homes are our refuge so why wouldn’t we want that sanctuary protected. It is a fact that today more & more people & especially children are developing respiratory illnesses or sensitivities.

My own awareness is heightened because I work with various carpet cleaners on a daily basis and am subject to a much more concentrated level than my clients are. That is my reason for ensuring that only the safest items are carried on the truck and brought into the home – to protect myself. If I have myself covered then I know I have you the consumer covered.

We have improved our carpet cleaning technique by using high flow, flush & rinse tools & equipment to provide a much deeper carpet & upholstery cleaning. It is true that today we use a much higher volume of water than before to achieve our complete deep cleaning process but what we have gained is true hygiene. For the sake of a few more gallons of water isn’t it worth it for our health?

Unlike many, we do not run a detergent, soaps, or an emulsifier through our fresh water system but rather soft water. We apply a mild cleaning solution to your carpet before we steam clean that can also be our Green or Organic soap free natural product at your request. This small amount of cleaning solution breaks down the greasy, sticky soils & helps suspend soils until we Truck Mount Steam Clean the carpet to extract the soils, particulates, dust mites & bacteria. The high flow flush & rinse system does an extreme thorough rinse of your carpet fibers leaving them almost dry and soft instead of crunchy. Our extreme high heat system delivers the super heated water directly onto the carpet rather than letting the heat escape into the air. We deliver at least 220-240 directly onto your carpet which kills many things such as bacteria, dust mites & fleas. The higher the heat the quicker the water evaporates which means faster dry times.

The typical complaints from rapid carpet re-soiling to the crunchy effect comes from the lack of chemical & soap residue removal either from the type of carpet cleaning method used or the use of soaps & chemicals in the rinse tank. You get this service traditionally from your cheap guy carpet cleaning service where cleaning speed makes up for dollar loss, many use floor buffers to dry clean your carpets which do nothing but buff into the carpet their chemical & your dirt. Very little soil gets recovered but you get a free load of chemical residue, some even claim it is 100% carbonated water but have you asked for the MSDS sheet to verify this?

There are many great Carpet Cleaners that have your Health at the top of their priority list. Let’s face it, leaving behind an unhealthy carpet will create a negetive effect for both of us. Getting you on our client list is the way we operate, keeping ourselves healthy and happy is the only way to do it. There is no way that I would ever clean your homes carpet with a floor buffer alone or run my chemical cleaners through my rinse to get it clean just to save a little time! Sure, the temporary smoke & mirror effect will make it look good but not for long.

Residue Free Cleaning is a technique that we use for a Healthier Carpet Cleaning experience at Miracle Services, Inc.
